Ladder 516 and Engine 511 responds to Delaware St. for a garage fire. Crews quickly went into service with a 1 3/4” line and extinguished the fire with minimum damage to the structure. Crews were in-service for about 1 1/2 hours. Cause of the fire is still under investigation.

At about 00:35 District 5 responds to a dwelling fire with entrapment at 189 Delaware St.  in Woodbury. Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy fire and smoke on the 1st and 2nd floor of a 3 story single family, wood frame dwelling. Initial reports that there was 1 person still inside the structure, and one person had jumped from the second floor. Along with crews from Deptford, West Deptford, and Woodbury Heights, they battled the blaze of this historic house for more than 3 hours before being place under control.

Condition of the victims is not known and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Crews from Deptford, West Deptford, Woodbury Heights, County Fire Marshalls office, were all called in to assist to extinguish the fire.
