Ladder 516, Engine 511  and units form Station 6-1  responds to 34 N. Warren St. for a report of a garage on fire. Upon arrival of the first  units, they had a 20’ x 20’ detached garage, well involved. Crews went into service with (2) 1 3/4” hand lines. Crews were in service for 2 1/2 hours. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

We would like to congratulate our fire explores on their completion of  the Junior Firefighter Training course at the Gloucester County Fire Academy. Their graduation will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at the Gloucester County College at 7:00pm.  Way to go Brandon V, Matt, Nick, Brandon P, Anthony, and Sienna.

Engine 511 responds to 466 Park Ave. in Deptford for a dwelling fire. Crews from 9-1,9-2,9-3, 9-4 and 5-1 responded to a dwelling fire , all hands working. First arriving engine reported smoke from all divisions with heavy fire in the basement. Crews quickly went into service with multiple 1 3/4” lines to attempt to extinguish to fire. The fire in the basement had weakened the floor and the evacuation order was given and all crew went into a defensive attack with 2 1/2” blitz fire nozzles. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
